Hiya, I’m Nancy “Bee” a USA Cycling certified Coach, BIKEFIT Pro Fitter, FIT KIT Bike Fitting Technician, certified SPINNING Instructor, TaijiFit Flow and Strength Instructor, a passionate cyclist, triathlete and want-a-bee Mountain Betty.
I began my athletic adventures running 5K races. I enjoyed running so much I ran the Honolulu Marathon and the Gold Coast Australia Marathon. When I moved to Japan I was challenged into participating in my first triathlon held at the Naval Air Facility in Atsugi, Japan. After my first “TRI” I was hooked and continued to participate in triathlons at various distances to include sprint, olympic and Half-IRONMAN.
My passion for cycling grew out of my triathlon events. I started riding single day charity rides to include American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure and multiple day cycling events such as the Face of America Ride and Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride.
Upon the request of my local bike shop, I began organizing and leading local rides, conducting mini workshops and sharing my experience with other cyclists. I love learning everything I can about cycling and share my knowledge. I have been a USA Cycling certified Coach with distinction since 2010.
During the week day, I’m a Senior Instructional Systems Designer, where I analyze, design and develop specialized professional training programs.
During my weekends, I am BikeFIT Pro fitter, a triathlete and a wantabee Mountain Betty.
As a Bike Fitter, I use a multidimensional fitting approach based on angles and alignments with emphasis on the five elements of the pedal and cleat interface. My drive to continue my education on Bike Fitting comes from my own positive and negative experiences with the critical elements of angles, alignments and physical limitations. A good bike fit keeps me riding.
I enjoy the Cycling community in Maryland and hope you do too.

ps, the sketches you will enjoy here and on my website are original sketches by Sassie Paris (my Mom). It’s a true joy to be able to blend both of our lifetime talents.
